Henry Cloud is an author whose knowledge/books I highly respect & recommend. He simply is courageous and is unafraid to say what is wrong. I love his boldness & bravery for showing through his very profound & accurate writings, that which is right or that which needs to change & how to achieve that. I haven't read this particular book in its entirety yet but it is bound to be valuable. I've much admiration for his series of books on setting boundaries and for his book that so accurately describes the destructive nature of some Christian beliefs.

One of the top ten best self help books I have ever read. This is a must read for any human who wants to be a good person and be happy in life. I highly recommend it and it is a good easy read, and not too long. Lots of great real life examples in the book, great applications. I will help this in my bookshelf forever and re read it every few years!!

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book at first. It seemed “basic” at the beginning. But then, we all need to build on a good, basic foundation. The most useful part of this book are the real-life stories of how successful people handled things. Boy did I learn a lot. Let’s just say, I wish I had read this years ago! Some folks seem to have these reactions built in. But that doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t learn them. Time to begin again, today!
